GTC: Globe Trade Centre S.A. (GTC) started operating in Poland in 1994 and is one of the largest developers in Central and Eastern Europe. GTC invests in three main categories of the real estate market: office buildings, shopping centres and residential construction. Currently, GTC is active in nine of the region’s countries: Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Slovakia and Ukraine, with its activity being mainly in the capitals of those countries. In Poland, the company does not just have projects in Warsaw but also in Kraków, Poznań and Wrocław. Investments are also planned in Częstochowa, Łódź and Katowice. Geographical and sector diversification allows resources to be allocated effectively so that the company’s investments are focused on the most profitable markets.

The company has investments in three main segments of the real estate market:
•    Office buildings
•    Shopping and entertainment centres  
•    Residential; construction.

GTC has been a public company since April 2000, and since May 2004 the company’s shares have been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. GTC’s shares are a constituent of the prestigious WIG20 as well as international indices published by Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI). Since January 1, 2006, GTC was the only company from Central and Eastern Europe to be listed on the GPR 250, an index of the 250 largest and most traded real estate companies in the world.

Share capital is divided into 21.8m shares with a nominal value of 10 gr each. GTC Group has built and owns 30,000 m2 of commercial property and also has an impressive portfolio of land for new commercial and residential investments with a potential of 1.3m m2. The company plans to invest around USD 1bn IN NEW PROJECTS IN Central and Eastern Europe by the end of 2008.

The growth strategy envisages further expansion in other countries in the region as well as further joint ventures with reputed partners.

In each country in which GTC operates, a team of top real estate professionals has been created, including marketing, construction and finance specialists. Each team is headed by a Country Manager with many years of experience in the real estate market.

GTC’s strategy is to complete large projects based on economies of scale and synergy in various countries. The company carries out individual ventures through Special Purpose Companies, which allow each development to be financially independent and protect against currency fluctuations.
Globe Trade Centre S.A. received the Developer of the Year 2004 in Central and Eastern Europe and Developer of the Year 2004 awards at the CEE Real Estate Quality Awards. In 2005, in the Europaproperty SEE Real Estate Awards, Globe Trade Centre S.A. was distinguished as the best development company in Central and Eastern Europe.
